Have a Whale of a Time!

The Whale of a Time provides an alternative environment for environmentally-conscious and creative people to express themselves through art. We organise creative workshops on environmental issues and eco-events to promote Whale of a Time Artists. Whale of a Time aims to connect people with the Art of Nature.

Whale of a Time Events are creative fun whilst getting in touch with environmental issues featuring Whale of a Time Artists. All our artists write songs that connect people with nature and wildlife. We organise events for all age groups. A typical night promotes various artists including musicians, filmmakers, producers and directors, environmentalists, authors and books as well as music- and art-workshops to get involved and engaged actively.
We're forming activist groups and are looking for people to join and do one thing a month about the environment which will be presented on our website.

Whale of a Time runs creative workshops for all age groups. Our workshop is about environmental issues, wildlife and endangered species and we promise you’ll have a whale of a time using your creativity, learning new skills sculpting in clay, using clay sculpting tools while working from your imagination and from images and 3d models of animals. We come to your youth centre, private and public events, shows and festivals and we provide all tools and materials. The Whale of a Time Workshop is a creative activity for people of all age groups. We believe that every human being is an artist and has the potential to create and communicate through art. Art comes from the spirit. Through art we are able to express our deep inner emotions, feelings, motives and instincts that lie deep underneath the consciousness. Through art we aim to connect with our true nature or higher self.

In the Whale of a Time Community are artists from many backgrounds including art, music, film and documentary, photography, writing and poetry. You can create your personal profile and upload your biography and artwork and share your inspirations with the world, leave comments in the forum and read news in our blog. We organise gigs, exhibitions, parties where Whale of a Time Artists can showcase their talent. Art started with the very first cave paintings and enriches our culture up to today by artists who guide us with their visions and passion in life. Whale of a Time exists to enrich our global culture with the spirit of nature, to achieve cultural change and build on a beautiful relationship with our environment.

Many species have been perceived as endangered because of hunting, habitat loss and degradation, chemical and noise pollution, global climate change, unmonitored by-catches, accidents and disturbance. Only if we understand the true beauty we can appreciate it and have the will and passion to save it.
